Mo Hope and former Miss Universe Australia make Grand Prix splash at Glamour on the Grid

Australia’s sporting stars and celebrities have stepped out at the Melbourne Grand Prix’s Glamour on the Grid event, but it was former AFLW player Mo Hope who made the biggest splash.

After a disappointing career in the AFLW at Collingwood and then North Melbourne, Hope has become somewhat of celebrity, appearing on reality TV and having a high-profile love life.

Her split with former wife and model Isabella Carlstrom last May was played out in public, despite Hope wanting to keep it private for the sake of the couple’s children.

Then, Hope set tongues wagging when she struck up a relationship with TV presenter and former Miss Universe Australia, Maria Thattil.

In September last year, Hope made her ‘red carpet debut’ with Thattil at the opening night of Death of a Salesman.

But Hope looks totally transformed since that outing as the couple stole the show in a rare and eyebrow-raising public appearance.

A host of other stars also turned heads at Wednesday’s Glamour on the Grid, including Channel 7’s sports reader Abbey Gelmi, Melbourne influencers Bec Judd and Nadia Bartel, and model Ellie Gonsalves.

AFL stars were also present, including Richmond midfielder Tim Taranto, Collingwood star Josh Daicos, and former Essendon big man Tom Bellchambers with his actor wife Olympia Valance.

Daicos, who has a relationship with model Annalise Dalins, is a Grand Prix ambassador.

With a game the next day, he and Dalins were the first to arrive at the event.

“Everyone’s expressing themselves with their fashion. Everyone can go pretty bold,” Daicos said, while Dalins revealed she and her family are a big F1 fans.

“It was our AFL (when I was young),” she said.

“Tonight is a mix between sport and fashion which is Josh and myself as a couple.”
